I remember the exact moment I realized how backwards we'd gotten things. I was sitting at my desk late one evening, manually updating systems and logging information that I'd gathered during the day. Outside my window, the sun was setting on another beautiful day I'd mostly seen through glass.
We've somehow accepted that being a "professional" means being chained to a desk, transcribing our real-world experiences into rigid digital systems. We've become human interfaces to computers, instead of having computers truly interface with us.
This isn't just about efficiency – it's about reclaiming our humanity.

I built Harte.io because I want to work from a trail overlooking the ocean. Because I want to close a deal while watching my friend's soccer game. Because I want to update my systems while walking through a park, speaking as naturally as I would to a colleague. And I want that freedom for everyone else too. The future of work isn't about better screens or faster typing. It's about breaking free from screens altogether. It's about technology that's so natural, so intuitive, that it fades into the background of our lives. Like a trusted assistant who just gets it, who's there when you need them, and invisible when you don't.
